Morgan
Hi, Morgan. As far as finding free books, are you signed up with your state's library for the blind? That way you can get them on Braille or tape, or download them from Web-Braille. I also think NLS has a way to download digital books, but I don't know much about that.
Anyway, as far as friends and teens, the one that jumps immediately to my mind is the Sisterhood series, by Ann Brashares. It starts out with the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.
The author that first jumpts to mind for me is S.E. Hinton. Now the spelling may not be correct, and I know he/she is an older author, but to this day I love the books. I think their most notable work is "The Outsiders"; which had a movie made for it. But I've read some of the rest, and would love; even being thirty, to read more. LOL, nothing else from this side as I was never much on reading teen books...Was reading adult rated books at 9, so kinda skipped that stage of things.
Lmao! You read adult books at nine? Ooo, Oh, nos! JK...
How about trying Great Expectations? It's a great book. I just finished a while back. Loved it!
